SAYBOLT VISCOSITY
SAYBOLT VISCOSITY
Product Code
KBL-B087
Saybolt Viscometer
Standards
ASTM D88, AASHTO T72
The Saybolt Viscometer is used to determine the actual Saybolt viscosity of petroleum compounds at specific temperatures. The time required for a 60mL sample to flow through a tube with a certain diameter (furol or universal) is measured and reported in seconds.
The saybolt viscometer may be used for temperatures ranging from 21 to 99 degrees Celsius (70 to 210 degrees Fahrenheit). The viscometer features a water-oil bath, stirrer, cooling coil, and an electric heater with a digital thermometer.
Saybolt Viscosity Thermometer set includes six thermometers with temperature ranges of 19 to 27°C, 34 to 42°C, 49 to 57°C, 57 to 65°C, 79 to 87°C (250 mm length), and 95 to 103°C, each with 0.1°C subdivisions.
The filter funnel, withdrawal tube, and thermometer set should be bought individually.
