Sand Replacement Apparatus is a useful device that should be used to assess the level of compaction at the site. This complete test set comprises of pouring cylinder, calibration container, and tray and it offers measurements of density in situ for fine-grained compacted soil.
Made from high-quality materials, the sand pouring cylinder is constructed from cast aluminum with high levels of accuracy through the method of machining. The calibration container and tray given within the package are made from plated sheet steel to provide maximum corrosion resistance and endurance for different environments.
The Sand Replacement Apparatus is available in three sizes, which include the 6” 150mm dia, 8” 200mm dia, and 12” 300mm dia, sizes and this makes it easy for one to choose one that will meet their needs of any given project. Such flexibility is necessary to avoid inaccurate or inconsistent determination of the degree of compaction in the soil.
The process of determining the degree of compaction according to the Sand Replacement Apparatus involves a very basic procedure. It encompasses taking away a segment of soil that has been compacted and then replacing it with sand and weighing it. This way, the volume of sand that has been used can be recorded and can thereby determine the density of the removed soil when calculating the results.
The Sand Replacement Apparatus improves construction quality, safety, and efficiency.
It reduces the time and complexities of compaction testing while ensuring that construction teams make correct conclusions. Select the Sand Replacement Apparatus for analyzing the impact of compaction efforts on the soil and enhance your testing procedures now.
