Soil Compaction Testing Apparatus: The Proctor moulds, available in standard 4" and modified 6" diameters and Hammers are used for determining the relationship between the moisture content and density of compacted soils. Made of plated steel, the set contains a collar, mould body, and base plate. Hammers are used to compress soil samples in Proctor molds. Various models are available that adhere to the required criteria.
Manual, moisture/density Standard hammer meets ASTM and AASHTO specs. It incorporates a 5.5 lbs (2.54kg) weight and a fall height 12" (305mm), and Modified hammer incorporate 10 lbs and a fall height 18”. The guide sleeve features four vent holes at each end to remove any built-up air pressure. Top of Form Compaction moulds are used for soil compaction testing.
These rugged proctor moulds comply with numerous test specifications including the Proctor Compaction Test, California Bearing Ratio (CBR) tests. The moulds are made of clear-zinc coated steel for optimal corrosion resistance. Compaction moulds are available as whole sets or as separate components.
