The Motorised Screw Extruder, Vertical Type is a robust equipment which is used to extrude soil samples from tubes and molds including Shelby tubes, Proctor, CBR and Marshall molds. This versatile Extruder is uniquely designed to manage specimens with outside diameter of 50 mm (2”) to 125 mm (5”). This is especially useful for taking uniaxial and triaxial test specimens and has an inner diameter of 38, 50, 75 and 100 mm.
This extruder has a pulling force of 60 kN and a ram stroke of 650mm to allow for easy and efficient extrusion of the soil sample with minimal interferences such as from thin-walled tubes. It can produce samples with a diameter ranging between 35mm & 150mm and this makes it very effective in preparing soil samples for various geotechnical tests. The unit consists of hydraulic piston with an adjustable speed control as well as stopping in any position desired during the extraction process. Its maximum load reaches 70 kN (7000 kg), this design guarantees the extruder’s performance with particularly unyielding samples.
Featuring a height adjustable receiving table the extruder retains a small footprint and provides ease of use. The Hydraulic Sample Extruder is designed to be used with samples of up to 1m long, and it is supplied with adaptors for sample diameter of 38. Namely, it ranges from 1 mm, to 83 mm, and to 100 mm, which makes it very versatile regardless of the specific region’s necessary testing on the soil.
The piston strokes are therefore precise and steady to ensure that the sample rate is enhanced when using this bench-top extruder. Equipped with hydraulic pump that was timely supplied by 1hp electric motor and a 2. 5-gallon hydraulic oil reservoir, it makes the whole hydraulic system reliable, thus improving operations of soil testing.
