Laboratory Asphalt Mixer
Standards
A Laboratory Asphalt Mixer is an essential equipment used in mixture where there is a need to prepare accurate concentrations of bitumen and sand or gravel, cement and sand or gravel. This advanced equipment fully meet and implement the “Test Regulations for Asphalt and Asphalt Mixture for Highway Engineering”. This is because the Laboratory Asphalt Mixer is considered reliable and efficient in serving research and construction laboratories and supervisory highways.
The Laboratory Asphalt Mixer consists of three primary components: There are heating pot, an agitator and a lifting device as its components which have to be installed. The heating pot has the adjustable temperature range of room temperature up to 250 Celsius degree, and the temperature of the pot is maintained constant. The agitator which is made up of a mixing head and motor rotates to help mix up the mixture in the vessel. It also comes with a timer that enables the user set the period of time he wants the ingredients to mix.
Typically the lifting mechanism of an LCC is motorized where there is a belt reducer and a lead screw to lift or lower the agitator during feeding, mixing or discharging. This way the mixture is well mix and in a right condition for the test that follows the preparation stage.
The Laboratory Asphalt Mixer has been deemed necessary in the preparation process of samples for highway constructions and research due to it efficiency and accuracy.
Key Features and Specifications
- Mixing Capacity: 10 L / 20 L
- Heating Pot Temperature Range: With temperature range of room temperature to 250°C which can also be adjusted depending on the user’s needs.
- Temperature Control Accuracy: ±3°C, and this ensures standards sample preparation is maintained so as to allow comparison with other tests on the same sample.
- Mixing Time: This feature can be set to any number of seconds ranging from 1 to 9999 in order to be as flexible as possible.
- Agitator Speed: revolutions from 48 to 80 in a minute so that one is able to accomplish the mixing effectively.
- Operating Temperature: Between -10°C and 40°C so that the mixer is able to function well despite the climate.
- Relative Humidity: Its performances with humidity levels of no more than eighty percent.
- Supply Voltage: 220V+/- 10%, compliant for most laboratory applications.
